Sergei Denisov was born on August 16, 1980, in the city of Zlatoust, Russia.
From the eighth grade, he became interested in the history of art. Starting from the tenth grade, young man developed an interest in the history of his hometown and the folk craft of metal engraving, which the city has been involved in for a long time.
After school, Sergei went to the South Ural State University, majoring in mechanical engineering technology. During his first year at the University, in free time from studies, Denisov delved deeper into the history and technology of artistic metalworking and began to master their techniques. By the second year, alongside the main studies at the university, he created his first metalwork pieces.
Throughout five years of university education, he simultaneously mastered and studied various methods and techniques of artistic metal engraving. He also establishes a company with own production for creating metal engraving works. Sergei graduated the South Ural University in 2002 while already having his own production for creating metal engraving pieces.
In the same year, after graduation of the study at the University, he completed courses at The St. Petersburg Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin at the Russian Academy of Arts for a deeper exploration of the craft. Subsequently, he engaged in work in Zlatoust, creating metal engraving pieces. Sergei Denisov considers the year 1998 as the founding year of the DENISOV brand when the first creation was made by himself.
